This 10-day Morocco travel itinerary, which commences in Marrakech, offers the opportunity to witness the pinnacle of Morocco. Investigate the vibrant communities, ancient ruins, and magnificent Sahara Desert. Indulge in a blend of natural grandeur, cultural experiences, and historical sites.
A guide will show us Marrakesh today. You’ll see Jamma el Fna plaza, Koutoubia mosque, souks, palaces, and museums. Our city explorations will include Gueliz, The Menara Gardens, and Majorelle. You may leisurely tour the city after lunch at a local eatery.
Today’s excursion begins with a vista of the Atlas Mountains as we cross the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to Ait Ben Haddou, a Unesco World Heritage site known for The Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Next, we’ll visit Atlas Film Studios and a Kasbah in Ouarzazate. From Marrakesh, we’ll travel to the Valley of Roses, known for its yearly Festival of Roses, and stay in Dades Gorge.
Todra Gorge, a beautiful small canyon popular with outdoor enthusiasts, is next on our journey. Our journey will take us across the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, the Sahara desert’s gateway and home to remarkable fossils. A local factory makes fossil-based crafts and home décor, while a store sells souvenirs.
We’ll go to Rissani, see the souk, and then drive across the desert to Merzouga. We leave the car at a checkpoint and ride a camel into the desert dunes with professional guides to Merzouga Desert Camp, where we’ll camp in Berbere tents. A classic starlit Berbere supper and tribal music around a desert campfire will make this night memorable.
Day of Merzouga desert exploration. Enjoy a personalized experience with camel trekking or 4×4 exploration. The Khamlia community known for its traditional music will also be visited. We must see the sunset behind the dizzying Sahara desert dunes. Small Riad/hotel is our overnight stay.
We’ll travel via Rissani and Erfoud to Midelt, the Atlas Mountains, for lunch after breakfast at the hotel. We’ll then let you explore Midelt at your own leisure or stay at a nearby hotel.
Today we’ll tour Midelt and travel to Azrou, where we may feed the monkeys at a forest lodge. Our next stop is Ifrane, then Fes, where we’ll stay at a local hotel.
We’ll stroll around Morocco’s oldest city’s alleyways and tiny streets today. Tourists may visit the Royal Palace entrance, Jewish neighborhood, Al Qaraouine University, Tanneries, and Mulay Idriss Mausoleum. Explore the intriguing medina in the afternoon before eating at a local restaurant. A local riad/hotel will host our Fes stay.
We travel from Fes to Rif Mountain Chefchaouen today. Explore Chefchaouen’s medina and stay at a local riad/hotel.
After breakfast and a half-afternoon in Chefchaouen, we’ll travel to Rabat, Morocco’s capital, to see its highlights. Before sleeping in Casablanca, Morocco’s biggest city, we may eat lunch.
