10 Days Morocco Travel From Casablanca

Day 1: Airport-Casablanca

Your customized 10-day desert trip from Casablanca to Imperial towns starts with an airport transport to your Casablanca accommodation. Tour site-seeing today depending on your arrival timing. We may visit Casablanca’s Hassan II Mosque, Moroccan Mall, and beach if time allows.

Day 2: Casablanca–Meknes–Volubilis–Fes

Today, we may see Casablanca’s tourist spots that time didn’t allow on Day 1. Meknes, a historic imperial city in Morocco’s wine region, will be our next stop after lunch. After seeing Meknes, we’ll travel to Volubilis’ Roman remains. You may tour the ruins and mosaics alone or with a local guide. We then stay in a small riad/hotel in Fes.

Day 3: Fes city trip with guide

Today we’ll explore Fes, Morocco’s spiritual capital. This includes touring the Medieval Medina, Nejjarine fountain, Moulay Idriss tomb, and Karaouine Mosque (external trips only). You may have lunch at a typical Medina restaurant before seeing the souks and Fes Jdid (New Fes) in the late afternoon before returning to your accommodation.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga Desert

We’ll drive to Ifrane after breakfast. Ifrane is called ‘the Switzerland of Morocco’. We will proceed to Midelt and then to Erfoud via the Ziz Valley. Fossils from Erfoud are renowned. You may also stop and learn about the fossils and area. The historic souk of Rissani awaits us after Erfoud. Our tour ends tonight at Merzouga in a motel on the desert dunes.

Day 5: Merzouga Desert and camel trek to the desert camp

We’ll travel to a Merzouga desert checkpoint after breakfast. When we arrive, we may exchange our 4×4 for camels (optional). Explore Erg Chebbi with an expert camel guide. The campground is 90 minutes away. A stunning sunset over the dunes awaits us. After nightfall, Traditional Berber tents will be used for this night’s desert sleep.

Days 6: Merzouga Desert, Todra Gorges, Dades Gorges

We get up early to see the dawn over the dunes before checking into a nearby hotel for breakfast. We’ll continue via Rissani and Tinghir to Morocco’s tallest and narrowest valley, Todra. Drive across the Dades Valley after lunch in the Gorge. We’ll stop to see “Monkey Toes” geological feature. Tonight we sleep in Dades Valley.

Day 7: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Today, your private tour drives to Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate, “the African Hollywood”. We may tour the Kasbah and local film studio. Next, we’ll visit Ait Ben Haddou’s Kasbah, Morocco’s biggest and a UNESCO landmark. We’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech for the night.

Day 8: Marrakech guided tour

Fully in Marrakech today. You’ll see Jamma el Fna Square, Koutoubia Mosque, souks, palaces, and museums. Our city tour includes Gueliz, Menara Gardens, and Majorelle Museum. You may leisurely tour the city after lunch at a local eatery. Returning to Jamma el Fna Square for supper at a food vendor or hammam. Before returning to your Marrakech riad.

Day 9: Marrakech–Essaouira Excursion

We’ll have a guided tour of Atlantic coast of Essaouira, with its 18th-century Skala de la Kasbah walls and more easygoing Medina. For the last night, we return to your Marrakech hotel/riad.

Day 10: Marrakesh-Casablanca Med V airport

Today we’ll transport you to Casablanca to complete your 10-day desert excursion.
